Off-Gassing - Other Industries

Mitigating off-gassing concerns is best done as a pro-active technique. Volatile characterization may be the first step when working with a new product of any type. Being able to identify what levels of Volatiles are being emitted from the product, along with, if desired, what aromas are “normal” for the product can all be addressed through the volatile characterization and the GCO technique. The process for this methodology is called GC-MS/O. Some examples of types of products that can be extracted and analyzed for off-gassing mitigation include:
