Kathy Malmay-Bazemore (Chairman)
Currently serves as President and CEO of Cocoon Resources, Inc. an organization that starts, commercializes and spin's out new companies. Kathy is carrying the role of President for Volatile Analysis Corporation and leads the business strategy of the company. Kathy has had a career of launching new companies, turnarounds of failing organizations, leading organizations sales and marketing initiatives, and helping define the right product for companies at the right time. Kathy currently serves on the board of directors of Volatile Analysis Corporation, Cocoon Resources, Inc., and AITA.

Charles H. Manley, Ph.D. (Vice Chairman)
Charles (Chuck) Manley received his PhD from the University of Massachusetts (UMass) - Amherst for research in the area of food and flavor chemistry. He has worked for fifteen years in various research and management positions within a number of Unilever Companies including Vice President, International Business Development for Quest International.

For eighteen years, Chuck worked with Takasago International Corp. and completed his career there as Vice President, Science and Technology. His major corporate responsibilities have been in managing the commercialization of scientific research efforts and various technical, creative, regulatory and quality departments at both Unilever and Takasago.

He has made major professional contributions to the food and flavor industry that includes over 150 publications, patents and presentations in the field of flavor ingredient safety, flavor chemistry, food processing/science and natural product chemistry.

Chuck has served as the national president of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers' Association (FEMA). Currently he is the Chair of the Rutgers University Food Science Department's Advisory Board, a member of the UMass Food Science Advisory Board, and IFT's Finance and Nomination and Election Committees.

Chief Scientific Officer and Co-founder of Volatile Analysis Corporation, Russell identifies, characterizes, and in cases of offending odors, ameliorates a broad range of odorous compounds. Most recently he investigated aftertastes from odorous foods, beverages and tobacco products while employed by the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company (Chicago). While faculty at MS State, Russell worked with fermented foods, seafood, seafood waste, and poultry waste. He investigated volatiles generated from the human body, swine waste, and mushroom compost during a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Monell Chemical Senses Center (Philadelphia). The focus of both graduate degrees (Ph.D. from the U. of Florida, Food Science/ analytical flavor chemistry; M.S. from Oregon State, Food Science / sensory) was aroma active components in citrus.

Tom has twenty three years of experience in engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and executive management in addition to degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and an Executive MBA. He has lived and worked overseas during his tenure with Chrysler, Honda R&D, and Philips Electronics and brings a wealth of international experience in team building and business growth from America, Europe, and Asia. For the six years prior to Volatile Analysis, Tom served as General Manager for a $90M high tech organization serving the international automotive industry.
